University of Waikato maintains its place in the world’s top 250 universities

The University of Waikato has risen to 235th in the latest QS World University Rankings, solidifying its position among the world’s top 250 universities.

Notably, Waikato is ranked first in New Zealand for research citations per faculty member for the third consecutive year, with a global rank of 94th, whilst sustainability continues to be a key focus for the University, where it is also ranked in the world's top 100.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Neil Quigley said: "Our academics are driving innovation and developing new ways of thinking about local and global challenges, and we’re proud to have this recognised on the world’s stage. This is a measure of the social and environmental impact of the University’s teaching and research, reflecting the ability of our researchers to forge multidisciplinary collaborations within New Zealand and internationally."
